We all know or have heard of one of the most well known pirates, Blackbeard, but did you know his real name was Edward Treach? While he supposively did many things, perhaps his biggest achievement was blocking a North Carolina harbor and attacking five freighters one right after another. His reputation grew to the extent that most sailors were so terrified that they did not want to be attacked by Blackbeard. However, as with any villain, he was eventually killed by first being shot five times, stabbed more than twenty times and finally being decapitated. Or, say the legend goes anyway.
